Re-building stuff like that can have some issues since a re-manufacturing plant has some very expensive equipment set up to make stuff with tight tolerances, or even a new part manufacturing plant which also has some very expensive finely engineered machines that we don't have at home; example, the micro-honing process for new engine blocks.
